I will look for him.
Is he running Elka's? and a 330?
My bigbore blew up so I am running a stock bore. It's been pretty good so far. 2nd and 3rd in my last two races running senior 1 class in the CRA. Nobody runs a 300 in that class.
I'll try to get a spot next to him so I can keep him in sight.

I have a few.
I ran the SPORT class and my pitman was supposed to get a shot of the start but he didn't. Did anybody else get a pic of the Sport class start.
I had the hole shot but lost it at the first turn then slightly over shot the second turn but held third up the hill and into the woods.
Finished 6th.
I don't think I can post them though the attach image thing isn't on the web page.

Checked out the GNCC at taylortown. Walked the track lookin for some tight, technical, rutty, rocky sections. Or even a mud hole. But failed to find any. Did I miss something? I heard storys about GNCC races being dirt roads and feilds but didn't really think they were true. I saw some shade trees to run under on the course, but you'd have to have somethin to keep the racers cool, I imagine riding wide open in the sun would make a racer warm. lmao Would you even need beadlocks to run GNCC? It was a lot different than my series to say the least. I'd like to run on though. To see what's it's all about. They did have one up hill that had some mud and a lot of whoops up it. That was the coolest thing I saw though.
There must have been some fairly substantial mud areas because all of the quads were covered whenever they came out of the woods. I saw a pretty hardcore Rincon racer - he raced at least a couple of miles without a rear wheel, and he was giving it hell

I had a blast, first time on the new ride. Got a good start in 250A then went backwards to the the end. Ended up i think 10th. Does not sound that great but i was happy with that. I am so outta shape i'm suprised i even finished. I have not ran that pace for a year or so. The bike worked awsome. For a fat outta shape guy to get a decent finish in a fast class that says something for the bike!!!!hahaha I'm running the Gibson frt. end with 19 inch Axis. Theres no comparison, its better than any other frt. end out there!!!!
Sorry i didn't stick around to shoot the bull, i was feeling a lil queasy afterwards and had to split!!

There was only like 2 mud holes and I wouldnt even call them mud holes it was really just about 3ft long and about 3 or 4 inches of mud nothing serious. Most of the mud was from getting roosted. It was a really fun track really fast even back in the woods there was only a few technical sections. It was nice not getting stuck for once. The hill motox was talking about wasnt too bad for the morning race but in the afternoon the racers started making new lines up it. I really enjoyed the track it was a lot of fun.

JHughes, How do you think the Gibson would compare to a Roll Design Lobo 2 front end?
jlhughes750
09-09-2003, 11:10 AM
Mr. Decesare, first of all, its an honor!! You were haulin this weekend. (i think this is u)...
Honestly, theres no comparison!!!!! i have a roll chassis R and i've had the Roll XC frt. on R's before.. The 19inch shocks on the Gibson frt. end are incredible.. The frt. stays planted all the time, and the off camber stuff is a joke, its like its not even there.... Next Rd. ask Rob Hertz about his, we have ours set up almost the same, he's got more time on his than i do, he says its better than anything he's had too. I always thought they were a lil funny lookin, but man, they work great. If your interested in more info call Matt Detwiler at East Coast ATV do not speak with anyone else!!!!!!! tell him i sent u. even if your just asking questions about the set up tell him i sent u, thanks. Matt is a great guy, really knows his stuff about products, he's lookin to get into helping out more GNCC guys....215-541-4985.....

JHughes, This is actually Dirks brother, but he does read the posts and he is fast. I talked to K & K today and they are sending me a Gibson Front end and Rear swingarm. Hopefully I will have it ready for Kentucky.
Dirk is still trying to work out a ride for next year for Pro class. K and K might have something worked out but nothing for sure yet.
