Is any piston better or produce more power than another or are they pretty much all the same? I was looking to Wiseco, but is anything else better? BTW this is on a stock bore.

The JE and the Ross are much better than the wiseco for the 400ex.

Thanks Colby. Do you prefer JE or Ross?

There is no real difference between them. I like both same price and look almost the same:D

they "SAY" that the wiseco compression is not accurate so a 11:1 is not realy 11:1. the ross are said to be lighter pistons so the rev faster, and the je are said to be reliable and what not, i would go with the je

There is a few grams of weight differnce between the Je and the Ross. Jim at Ross ( the motorcycle piston designer) used to be Jim at JE ( piston designer) so you can see the pistons are almost the same:)

Will the weight difference have any noticable effect on the power?
