Sorry about all the questions, trying to save money by doing myself.
What kind of tool do you use to get your axle bearings out of your carrier? I can't get behind the bearing to knock them out.

heat them up in an over for 15 minutes or so. pull the carrier out of the over, and they should fall out.

The oven trick didn't work, I did 10 min at 250 degrees.
The collar between the two bearings won't drop down at all to allow me to hammer them our. Any more suggestions !

After you heat them up, put a good glove one one hand and hit the carrier(up and down) on your workbench to losen up the bearing. Be carfull not to break the end of the carrier. If you do this correctly the bearing will just fall out after the hit on the workbench or you might have to finish off the job with the punch and hammer.
