I was wanting to know if I can use the stock lock nut with a lone star axle? Just don't have the cash for the axle and anti fade nut.
What about a durablue do they come with a nut set up or do I have to buy it separate? I have seen a few places to get a durablue for under $290 but I have no ideal if I have to buy the $180 nut set up to use it.

Thank You

I'm 99.9% you can use the stock lock nut or you can get one of these for $44.99 from http://www.meszmoto.com you still need to use the stock threaded/splined piece off the stock nut.

Don't waste the cash on a $200 anti-fade nut...get a axle nut like the one pictured above for much cheaper..

Go with LSR before Durablow...:blah:

if you got the money to spend i highly suggest one...getting an axle installed cant get much easier when you have an antifade....no more breaking out with the 4ft pipes to get the nut tightened down....heck i didnt even break a sweat doing mine :D not to mention u will never have to worry about it coming loose, and plus...look at it....tell me that doesnt set things off nicely?

You can easily find an axle lock nut on ebay for 'round $45. Much better than the stock locknut.

I'd recomend getting 2-bolt version instead of the 1 bolt.

How exactly does it tighten down? I just bought a meszaros dual pinch for 39.99 :D right before the price increase  I would love an antifade though. I love how it looks and its a big plus if u dont have to break out a 10 foot pole to loosen it

u know that metal rod u have to use to adjust the carrier? ya, thats the same tool you use to tighten the antifade up. after that, theres a little allen head screw that pinches the nut tight...just snug that up and your good to go. its soooo simple, i love it.
