Can i run my 14t sprocket with a stock case saver on my 300ex. stock is 13 and 14 is a little tight will it work? any help appreciated thanks

I have heard of people using a Dremel like tool to grind some material away from the stock case saver to fit a larger sprocket. I don't know first ahnd if it works though.

Do not run without the case saver! Your chain may never break with it on but the first time you ride with out it, guess what.... Murphys Law...:)

You'd be better off putting a smaller rear sprocket on. Then you can keep your case saver and you gain a little ground clearance.;)

I have a 14 tooth on my 400 with the stock case saver

You may be able to do it on the 400ex but not on the 300ex. At least not without grinding down the case saver.

i have a 12 tooth on the front of mine, and i bought a 14 for it, and it wouldnt fit with the case saver on, so i put the 12 back on, and took the 14 tooth back. If i get a bigger front sprocket it will just be a stock 13. It would be much better to just get a 36 rear sprocket.

i grinded my case saver on my 400ex to fit the 16 tooth on. it runs good without any problems.
