hey for those of you who use it my friend said the government found out about it and is tracing people and they are bein finned i just thought i should let yins know

kazaa is dangerous to use anyway. I got a friggin back door trojan from one o dem files. Puter will pry never be the same

Go to www.eff.org and you can check the database for your screen name or ip to see if they are after u! Plus a lot more good info.

750-150000 PER SONG is insane.... and they have not stated a "magic number" yet, they are targeting small and large.

At the moment i have 864 songs, ooo my god im sooo scared:eek2: :eek2: :rolleyes: fu*k that, they arnt gunna do sh1t. Everyone in my town with a computer has it. and i live in a small town...

204 songs (70 are Metallica though... ehhhh) and like 7 videos (mostly StarWars kid, and the South Park movie), and 2 software items (Adobe GoLive6 and Windows ME).. I think I'll move them, lol.

I run Kazaa Lite. It has some built in IP blockers for the RIAA, but I don't really trust it that much.

my grandma has 900 songs :huh , there all elvis and oldies and stuff.....this thing has freaked her out and shes wasting all her time burning EVERY song onto a CD :huh :huh , aint that a waste of time and money for CD's

i used to sell burnt cd's to ppls.....but i stopped after i paid off for my burner and the cds that i used for it (musta been bout $200 at least:eek2: )
and i still burn cd's for ppls....but only for 2 of my close friends, and my brother. and they all get em for free...rn't i nice haha

You are 101000103034832423948294 times more at risk dieing on your quad, than getting fined or arrested for downloading music. So... maybe we should all stop riding too...

2 solutions:

1) if you must use Kazaa, use Kazaa Lite. keep your banned IP list up to date. make sure you keep track of all IP used by the RIAA, keep those on your banned list. keep these IP in your Firewall's deny list also.

2) use Bit Torrent, Emule, etc...

Right now I got about 2800 songs and about 100 pics with prolly 2 whole legnth videos and about 20 short clips. They are spread out like some are on morpheous, aimster, kazaa, etc. I Dont have whole lot on kazaa though, around 200 only. This guy I know has like 4 thousand and some odd songs :eek2: Are they only trying to "get" people on kazaa or other places too ?:confused:

Kazaa Lite has a hook to retrieve the list of IPs from the Peer Guardian list of suspect IPs.

you can go here: http://goddc.no-ip.org/modules.php?name=Iplist to scan the current list of IPs. there are alot, but the RIAA IPs arent hard to find. look for things like Motion Picture Association of America, Recording Industry Association of America, etc...
