Has anyone used a xr400 cam in a 400EX for woods racing (harescrambles)? How was low and mid? How about a advance key?

Put the cam and a new high comp piston in,,compression of the piston and whether you want to bore the cylinder is your choice,,,and it will flat out kick butt in the woods,,I have this setup and you will be more than happy with it and odds are you'll be hangin with rapturds too,,depending on your other mods..

Did you use hardened rockers or did you use the stockers?

Rico has the Stock Rockers. The XR Cam is a Drop-In Cam so you don`t need to Harden the Rockers.

The XRcam is a drop in cam,,no other mods,,but if your quad is like a 99 you might wanna replace the rockers while your in there, if they look worn, if it's a newer 400 then you'll be fine leaving it the way it is.
