im trying to get a multiplayer game to work over the net, but it says i have to know the other person IP....or to host a game the other person needs my IP so they can play against me....WHERE DO I FIND MY IP OR TCP????? ANY HELP!@!!!!!

what operating system? xp open command prompt & type ipconfig/all & it will be in there..... win95/98 go to find file & type winip double click the icon to run the program & it will show you your ip

ok walk me through it...i have XP, and i dont know what u mean command prompt(how do i open it???)

go to start programs accesories command prompt type ipconfig/all look for a line that says ip address your done :)

midnight outlaw illegal street drag nitro edition....came with gamespy, but gamespy isnt letting me create a login name, says the page is "unavailable"...so the other option is connect trhough ip or whatever,.....

Do you have a router? If so, you need your WAN IP, not your LAN IP. Your LAN IP is probably something like 192.168.1.1 or 127.0.0.1 . I know with a linksys router, to find your WAN IP, access the web based configuration (http://192.168.1.1) and go to the Statuses page.
