First the picture has to be on another site (hosting) I upload images to imagestation.com I'm sure there are more and others.

1. Get the image up on the screen so you can look at it, right click on the image and a pop-up menu should appear, towards the bottom is "properties" click on it.

2. Copy the address of the image, it will say address with (URL) under it.

3. Go to your reply page here at exriders and hit the "IMG" button.

5. Press ok, finish your reply or new thread and your image should appear in your post, I suggest you preveiw your post to make sure the image appears.

Good Luck I hope this helps to some of you that are having headaches.

Great how to!:)

I didn't think imagestation allowed hot linking? I belive there is a "work around" to make it work. Something about removing one of the extentions in the address.....

I actually like this way better....cuz u can put many pics in a post, and place them where u want. its easier if u already know html, but this is set up pretty easy so it isn't difficult. and then it doesn't use up all the space on the sever. so jus until the time being (if they fix up the picture posting) we'll jus have to get used to this:)

oh and thats a great step by step Cleanshave:)

When you get here:

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid72/p543f86f384eff1ba84e956b0760fff1f/fb80a4bb.jpg

Highlight the address, right click on the highlighted section, or press Ctrl+c for the keyboard shortcut, you don't have to type it all in by hand.

http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid72/p87f542b6bd497b7ea543acc002640a02/fb7eb600.jpg

Then come back here and hit the IMG button (step 3). Paste in the box by clicking in the line and hitting Ctrl+v to paste, or right click on the insertion line and hit paste, works both ways.

The OK and CANCEL when you open properties just closes the window.

Hope this helps

Good job QuadJunkies! I have had my share of troubles with this picture posting stuff. I did all that, but it said Imagestation cannot host pictures for a trial account. I have been trying to "upload" more pictures for over 2 hours now. I don't have a good feeling about this...:(

its possible that if you are trying to upload pictures from certain sites it will block you. are these pics on your computer?

i will be glad when this issue is resolved but its not as simple as some think......
