I've got the 6 ply Maxxis Razor's and my friend has the 6 ply ITP XCR's. His seem not to wear as fast. What ever you get I would reccomend the taller 22in tires in the rear. They make a big difference when going over rocks.

yeah the 22's are better if you go over alot of rocks. they help alot on the height. i would go with razr's.

I agree, 22's make me feel like I have a fast Recon.

I believe considering racing will come up soon and I have heard and witnessed how durable they are, I am going with 20 inch Razr's. Bill Ballance has Razr 2's and I don't know if you watch the GNCC races but the go over very rough and flat prone terrain very fast. I have watched several races and never saw Bill lose a race because of a flat.

Razr's look cool anyway. They won't have near as much bite in mud as dirt devils but even with my stock tires, I pulled out of a mudhole past my oil dipstick uphill with a bit of body english. With the right throttle control and body English, you can improvise to get a bit more traction.

Just so you know, my dad has Dirt Devils on his TRX300 and they pull like none other in mud and even do well on hardpack. I have stock rear tires that I think would be great if they weren't so balloon like. If they were shaped like the Razr's, I would love them. The Razr's are better in mud than stockers from what I have seen but I have to get some before I can confirm.;)

well I love my dirt devils & i'd reccommend them to anyone for doing recreational trail/mud riding but if you are planning on racing or going on a trackI'd reccommend razr's or somthing in that nature ;)

personally if i were to get new tires again i wouldn't buy 22's again. i would buy 20's cause i think they look better and i don' need the height. i wouldn't recommend getting 6-ply cause i did cause i thought it would be better and i still put a hole in it within the 1st week of having them. so in my opinion its not worth having the extra weight for not more protection.

 wow...20's look better? wtf? if your trail riding you need extra ground clearance so 22's are better & who cares about the looks if your trail/mud riding?

i agree 22s on a 400ex look to bulky, its weird, yet on my recon the 22s look small........

but i have 20/11/9 Razr 6 plys, and i love them. IM yet to have been stuck in watery/muddy areas. Ive been right up to the top of the engine gases and still pulled threw. If you need a ton of tracktion then id really suggest the Razr 2's. But for my riding the Razrs have been flawless and im definitly getting another set.
