Yahama YFX450S is fater than my 440EX

I bought the Yamaha YFZ450S.

The reason I am posting this on this page is because it is very much faster than my 440ex, mods listed below.

In fact, it has a throttle stop screw on the thumb throttle and for break in , i have it set so it won't open past 60%. Ready for this??? Its still faster than my Honda!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited for this Yahama and at the same time sooooooo sick I spent so much $$$$ on building a 440EX. Lesson learned?

Guys... this Yahama yzf450s is so fast, is so good handleing, and has such great suspension... its sickening. Its really is a 10+.

Why am I reporting this? Because I know the question is in your minds as it was in mine. "How will my 440 hold water against the new yahama?"

Answer... it won't.

i rate it as a 9. seat is too damn ****ing hard. im going to stick a fatass person on there for awhile.i had a thought though. one of our riding buddy's has a raptor and it looks like the seat may fit on the yfz

You sound surprised that its faster than your 440. Did you think it would be slower?

I really did think my honda would be faster because the engine is so well modified.

I was very surprised. The suspension is as good as my elka's.

Thanks for your input. Your 440EX, what compression is it? What cam do you have in it?

Can you give us any more info on your 440? :D

but the yfz 450 wont go hardly anywhere in mud....i learned this at my local mud races this weekend....this guy had one and got stuck every 20 yards in mud that was halfway over the tires...had to get pulled out by the tractor...by the way i got 4th in the 200+ cc class..:devil:

my 440 is 11.5:1 compresion and I run the hotcams stage2. head is flowed, port matched.. the works.

about the suspension... dirt wheels magazine agrees. they say its as good as multi thousand $ pro set ups. it really is sick

dont compare it to a ex its not a real race machine its more of a xc wait the 450r!!!!
