does anyone know any place that will sell a lower domed piston to reduce comression. i know somone makes one that lowers the dome, and doesn't effect performance...any input?

I dont think you can get a lower compression piston...but you could probably have one made.

i was thinking...doubling the base gaskets....raise the port timing too, not sure thought with the KIPS system?????????????

what does lowering the compression do?

2 strokes dont have high or low compression pistons. Using a thicker head gasket would lower it. Or getting a new dome... like a cool head or something.

Why would u want lower compression.. is it to fast?

i was thinking a banshee, they prolly dont have a cool head for a tecate

ya can make one.

compression is 240lbs. replacing rings every weekend don't sound fun, or 115 race fuel straight.

doubling the head gasket will raise compression, doubling the base gasket will lower it, like i said thats what i want to do, but iam not sure with the KIPS?

The KIPS has nothing to do with your compression. Doubling either gasket will lower the compression, because it raises the dome away from the piston, creating more space for the air.

i just wasnt sure if i should do that or not, iam new with powervavles. i will still probably double the base gaskets though.

why not just double the head gasket and you wont have to worry about the powervalve

you are confusing me on the gaskets. i assume the base gasket is on the very bottom. is the head gasket the metal one in the middle? isn't there a top gasket too?

the base gasket is under the ...cylinder or "JUG"

We are talking about a two stroke.;)
