carb swap for 300 ex

hey guys i heard that swapping out my stock carb on my 300 for a 400ex carb gives awsome power i all ready have a pipe and filter and plan on getting a cam and pistion and a 60 over bore what kinds of mods wouuld i have to do on the intake side of my motor (intake tube, air box, filter, throttle cable ect) and what should i do for jetting thanks for the help

i have a stock carb if you would like it. It is in very good condition

just put the 400 carb on..u will have to rejet but see if its runnging lean or rich..u might wanna soak ur hose in hot water so it will expand so u can slip it onto the 400ex carb

it does give more power, the only thing u might have to modify is the choke lever.... it touches motor when u try to flip it on.... it's plastic so shaving a 1/8" or so takes only a minute.... oh and yes it'll work with your airboot.... the Hot water sounds like a good idea
