I had a uni and I ride with my lid off. That filter used to always be dirty and to much trouble to clean. Sure, You say "why not add a outerwear?" Well I bought a foam filter. So I would'nt have to add a outerwear. How good can a foam filter breath with a outerwear over it? I doubt that good.

Now I have a K&N with outerwear and it flows better than the uni by itself. Not to mention how easy it is to clean.

well right now i have a K&N and i think its a pain to clean and everything. plus its worn out and lets to much stuff by in my opinion. i always clean the air boot to the carb out and there is always junk and crap.

they make some cleaner kit for it somewhere. but somehow someone cleaned mine with gas and it doesn't do so well now.

Your K&N is ruined if you cleaned it with gas.:ermm: I think K&N's are so much easier to clean than the foam filters.

You can get a K&N cleaner kit at any parts store.
