 okay....I need to know what the best tire size is to run on a my 400EX for racing. I have desert tires on it right now and need to know what size to buy. Any ideas? The back tires are 20x11x00-9 and the front are 22x8x00-10 . I'm thinking narrower and smaller in the front and a smaller diameter in the rear????? Thanks for the help in advance...........

What type of racing will you be doing? MX? If so, then Holeshot MX tires all around. 18's on the rear, 20's on the front.

You could go w/ the Kenda Claws. A friend of mine got 'em put on his bike yesterday and they look awesome. Plus, they didn't cost alot. I'll be able to give a track report on them Sunday. If you'd like :D

I forgot about the turf tamers! I used them a few years ago, and thought I got better traction with them. Only down side is they are a softer tire compound, and wear out quicker. But they are cheap!

Thanks for the info ........I think ill try the turf tamers out , I have hole shots right now , Im gonna go with 18's in th rear and do the 20s up front. (7in wide ) I bought a 14 tooth for the front and 1 tooth bigger in the back , should I put both on or leave the back stock??

I'd leave the back stock, try it out with the 18's. Going to the smaller rear tire will give you a little more low end power, with a slight loss of top end speed. Putting a larger front sprocket should make up for that. Good luck, have fun!! :D
