Well I talked to a local engine builder today ,about making me an aggressive trail/GNCC engine. Nothing too nasty or expensive. I was thinking about a 416, or maybe a 440. He reccomended a 430. He said it would be cheaper than a 440 because he didn't have to resleeve it. And it would make close to the same power as a 440. He said, eventhough the 416 revs a little higher than the rest, the 430 would make better power in the woods. I'm also so getting a Sparks X6 pipe, mild porting and a Web cam(not sure of the grind) and a HD clutch. Is 430 the largest bore size? Is it similar to a 426? How come all the talk seems to be about the 416 or 440 sizes? Any comments would be appreciated.

87mm=416, 88mm=426, 88.5mm=430? I think someone offers an 88.5mm piston, but I'm not sure who.

id say he is gonna build you a 426 and he's just callin it a 430 ...personally i would never go past a 416 cause then that sleeve is gettin pretty thin...all i have in mine is a 416 piston stock cam and exhaust...i have a uni filter and im runnin a 165 main jet 40 pilot it feels great in the woods...next thing im goin to do is a TC gncc cam
