I was thinking of removing the stock heat sheild from my 93 300ex's header and painting it with a high temperature paint red to match my hubs and other red accents of the bike.. i have a glass beading chamber and i can spray paint pretty good. i was just wondering if anyone had a pic of one painted or if anyone thought it would look good.

the problem with spray paint is that when the shield gets hot the paint gets soft:ermm: that leads to scratches and some rubbed off paint. but...it is easy to redo so its yer call:)

I used high temp paint like the kind you use to paint engine blocks and it just heats up and gets soft then sand sticks to it. Maybe it's the metal:confused:
