i'd like to thank ben for doin all hes done for the site... we couldn't have done it without u... u've done alot for exriders...
congrats harlen on the site... i know u'll do a great job at runnin exriders... i've met u in person at rausch in june and ur one of the nicest people i've ever met...

WEll, although this name says i registered in may 2003, ive had other names, dating back to early 2001. I have watched this site grow, i remember back when Leo had his EX in rebuild. i also remember the old skool crew of me,Tommy, tants, andy, don, bill, and a couple others. I also rememebr back when pappy was EXATAK, damn the good old days. Its been really cool watching this site having its ups and downs. I also thank Ben for everything he has done to this site.

i had a fuse problem and he told me to disconnect the lights and he said he is 100% sure the short would be in the light,,, well it was. and then he gave me a new fuse.. WHOO-Hooo, harlen is a good fellow

But truthfully, I think Ben did a great job with the site and added many new features and the site grew by leaps and bounds under his leadership. Too bad he has to step down but I totally understand. With a full-time job and being a student at the same time it just doesn't allow Ben enough time to give this site what it demands. I've seen the site from Ben's perspective and I don't think I'd want to be an admin of this place. The thought of having over 300 emails and PM's requesting name changes, someone's picking on someone else, how do I post pics, the site is slow for me--fix it, etc., etc. It's really quite a headache and I give respect to anyone brave enough to take on the challenge.
With that said, nice to see Harlen step up to the plate and I've got total confidence that this site will continue to grow like it always has. We get a lot of crap from various other sites but that's to be expected when you're the most visited ATV forum on the Net. Harlen, you've got my support!
To any of you that wish to be a moderator--you must first pass the Gauntlet that I had to. You must provide firsthand proof that you can drink in excess of 12 beers in 1-1/2 hours without puking and also post naked pics of your wife/girlfriend (or both:D) in the mod forum. If you're not up to those 2 tasks than you've got no chance of being a mod:eek:

The way I run my sites are this way...If a person ASKS to become a mod or admin, I wont pick em. Plus they have to show me that they can act mature and have put considerable posts/time into the site. Striker is my newest admin on my sites and has done very good! :)

But truthfully, I think Ben did a great job with the site and added many new features and the site grew by leaps and bounds under his leadership. Too bad he has to step down but I totally understand. With a full-time job and being a student at the same time it just doesn't allow Ben enough time to give this site what it demands. I've seen the site from Ben's perspective and I don't think I'd want to be an admin of this place. The thought of having over 300 emails and PM's requesting name changes, someone's picking on someone else, how do I post pics, the site is slow for me--fix it, etc., etc. It's really quite a headache and I give respect to anyone brave enough to take on the challenge.
With that said, nice to see Harlen step up to the plate and I've got total confidence that this site will continue to grow like it always has. We get a lot of crap from various other sites but that's to be expected when you're the most visited ATV forum on the Net. Harlen, you've got my support!
To any of you that wish to be a moderator--you must first pass the Gauntlet that I had to. You must provide firsthand proof that you can drink in excess of 12 beers in 1-1/2 hours without puking and also post naked pics of your wife/girlfriend (or both:D) in the mod forum. If you're not up to those 2 tasks than you've got no chance of being a mod:eek: Well heck.Im half way there then!!!!!!!....:eek: :p
