Did anyone ever find out the truth behind this.

The 04's are at the dealers. The carb looked thr same to me but the change is internal and it may be hard to see?

Anyone in a dealer tear one open yet?

more than likely if it is true honda would't have changed the part number instead they just updated the existing one so they won't have to stock both size carbs cause then i would be kinda pointless

PLUS

most likely it would cost more money so I dont think they would just exchange the one carb for the other

AND

I would imagine that Honda would add the fact that it has a bigger carb for MORE POWER to there adds??????

trying to somewhat compete???????????????????

My theory.....:)

The 38 mm carb is going to be on the "new" quad that is rumored to be in the making. So instead of making/buying more of the earlier size they decided to go with the larger one and consider it an upgrade.

But that would mean it wont fuel injected:ermm:
