HEY EVRY BODY I JUST BOUGHT MY 400EX 2 WEEKS AGO AND THERES LITTLE CRACKS ALL OVER THE ENGINE NOW:cuss: .
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COLD BE AND IF ITS A PROBLEM?

little cracks? what do you mean? is it leaking opil, or any liquid?

You more than likely arent seeing real cracks, the molds that are used to make then engine parts get imperfections over time. Which then makes it look like the part has cracks. OOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRR you have cracks

THERE LIKE LITTLE CRACKS LIKE WHEN PAINT CHIPS OFF NO ITS NOT LEAKING ANYTHING ITS JUST ON THE SURFACE IT LOOKS LIKE

yea, my motor doesnt have cracks, but the plastic on my handle bars have alot of little cracks. its kinda wierd lookin.

Don't worry, There are not cracks. They are casting marks form where they were casted. It's normal. If you start leaking fluids, then I would be concerned.

go look at the tranny of a car, it looks the same. its normal.

What have you been using to clean it? If you use a caustic cleaner (Castrol Super Clean, etc.) and let it sit too long, it could damage the paint on the clutch and stator covers. Just a thought.
