I have a 300 ex it has a super trapp pipe k&n filter stage 2 jets and holes in airbox with 400ex raials on the rear i keep getting smoked by my friends blaster and i cant even keep up with my other friends stock 400 :mad: i was thinking about some internal performance modifications how much more power is there when u bore the engine 80 or 60 over versus a hi comp piston with stock bore and i am probaly getting low end cam i was also concidering porting is this worth the money? thanks alot :)

One of the guys I ride with has a Mickey Dunlap kit in his 300ex. I was surprised, it is def. fast!

did he have a cam and other **** in it or was it just the 330 kit

i just finished putting all the stuff 300ex, and it is defently fast. i havent raced any one yet, but i could defently feel the powe increase!!

I have stuff done to my Engine and can keep up with the next door neighbors Z-400. When my 300ex was stock i blew away all kind of blaster's i wonder why you aren't. Ryan

i used to have an engine with a profab 330 kit in it and i could keep up with piped 400's

thanks guys the my frieds blaster has pipes filter jets no airbox lid and 30 over bore but he is probly not telling me everthing that he did is porting worth the money??

I would get a 400ex carb either way, if u got a 330 kit or not. It greatly improves power. The next mod to my 300 will be a 400ex carb.:macho

thanks for the info what do u need to modify on the intake to mount the 400 carb to the 300 head and does the carb need to be re jeted?

you said you have 20 inch radials on. that is a top end killer. i forget what stock 300ex tire size is. maybe a 22 for top speed. and a sprocket change could help to.

thanks for the info thats what i thought it was at first too but then the blaster has 20's on it (stock 22) and he is running a 44 tooth rear sproket (stock 39) which should make him mad slow i guess i just need to rebuild my engine
