i would take the 100 buks your gonna use to spend on it, and get somethin that will actually help. Most of the time a rev box's problems will outway its benifits. And they make it a pain in the arse to start your engine

yeah, you won't notice anything unless you have a built motor where the extra 1000 rpms might be beneficial. you might get an ever so tiny bit of top end out of it but nothing you will notice. many people also have problems starting their bikes after they put a new cdi box on.

man i know everyone says they have problems starting their quad with a new rev box but i never had a problem when i got mine. i got its just the kind you get. i got mine modified at profab. i raced flattrack though where it helped.

One of the local shops around here said the reason some people have problems starting their quad with a rev box is because some of them really are an XR400 box. They are designed for a kick start and not electric.
You need to make sure that the box you get is made specifically for a 400ex. Not one that is actually an XR's. For the people that say it doesn't do anything, well it does. It lets you rev out for so much longer it seems. It might not seem like 1000-1500 rpm's is alot but for a 4 stroke it is and you'll notice a difference in the top end.

I bought my rev box from them and my 400 fired right up. I don't know what brand of box it is. All it had was there shops name on it.

when i got my sparks box everything fired right up like it was supposed to. i had no problems whatsoever. also imo i think they are worth it because most people are gona mod their motor so why not take advantage of 1000-1500 rpms while your at it.
