Hard to get neutral!!!???

I have an 02 400 and I sometimes have problems getting it into neutral. Could this be that my trans. is going out or clutch plates or what's the deal? I'm clueless. Or could it be that I let to many people ride it that don't know what the hell there doing???

make sure your clutch cable is adjusted up to where it needs to be

It's like I go to put it in neutral and it hardly takes anything to go past it, i can hear it click and everything but it feels like neutral is very touchy to get..

i'm pretty that your clutch isn't fully disengaging from what you described this will make it hard to get into neutral and also feel real touchy so check that your clutch cable is adjusted properly

my old 400ex did that and i had to shut it off to get it in neatrul sometimes. i got a new clutch cable for it and it fixed it right up back to new.

mine was like that, new clutch fixed it

my 300 was like that and i too had to turn it off to sometimes get it in nuetral but after a while it just clicked into nuetral like it was supposed too..:D

check you oil level also! Having too much oil can cause difficulty finding neutral. I've seen it happen:eek2:
