What Kinda Tires Should I Run On A 400ex

[400ex Racer]

i have a 400ex its pretty much all stock motor wise....
i raced my first race july27th..and i got 2nd but i think if i had better tires i could have maybe won...right now i have stock tires and there pretty wore...what kind should i go and buy...
i ride a good bit of road...alot of hard pack and alot of soft pack i like turf tammers but they where fast what kinda tires should i runn...

20 inch holeshots or razar 2's. wich ever you can get cheaper. and change the fronts to. alot of people dont do that but when you do you realize its worth it.

racing the only way to go is holeshot mxs i have them on my 400 and they have so much grip it will win that first place.:D

It depends on the type and location of racing your doing!

well ur gunna wanna go with 18s...

if its a lose condition get the hole shot MX's or MXR's

If its a Hard Packed condition run the Maxxis Razr MX's

If its both id run Kendras MX tire

i'd go with the kendas turf tamers wear fast i went through 2 sets in one year

Yes sir this is just what i got u can't beat them. Also you will have to get new rims. I picked up both sets with douglas .190s for $322 at rockymountainatv.com

I agree with the Kenda Klaw set up, as they are 4 plys vs. the 2 plys of any other MX tire to allow you to run them most anywhere without flats.
Also, a 425 kit may help shut down that Dale'.:devil:

kenda klaws are good tires
i like 18" tamers in the rear and grooved radials in the front
tamers are cheap enough u could just use them for racing and get another set for road and trail riding

I like my razrs, I have them all around. They get great traction pretty much anywhere and run great. But I use them for both MX and Harescrambles and have never tried holeshots or klaws so I cant tell you which are better.

If you are racing MX get some 18 inch tires.

shredders are also good tires for the back they are 4plys and around here they are cheaper than holeshots , razrs and otherones plus they wear pretty good too.

aren't the shreders the ones that look like the holeshots and razors but aer kinda closer together?
