Is it worth it to buy the $70 chromoly one from baldwin, or should i get another OEM one. i just pulled it out and it's bent again. this is the second one i've had.

if your on bolt #2, it might be a good idea to grab a better one...unless you like replacing the stock ones every once in a while :confused2

I bought one of those, it wasn't stainless steal. as a magnet won't stick to stainless and a magnet sticks to the bolt.

i think that the quadshop carries some type of pivot bolt. Im not sure on the specs though
how the heck are you bending these pivot bolts????????
You've got something outa whack, bushings bad, bearings shot or something..
Jeff has some pivot bolts that he makes up with grease zerk so it won't seize anymore but it's not an aftermarket brand..it is a OEM pivot bolt..

I would get a stronger one but definetly see what going on cause you shouldn't be bending em that often

I'm talking about the link for the bolt on ebay, not the chromoly from baldwin.

also how are you bending the bolt? I still have the original stock bolt in my 85atc r. and a quite old stocker in my 86r. most of the time, people replace the bolt because they destroy the bolt trying to get it out.
I see no reason why you should be bending that blot. You have a problem back there.

i still can't get my bolt out. The nut is off but the bolt head won't turn. It is starting to strip. Any ideas? If i were to attempt to cut the bolt where and how do i do it?
