I agree with Rippin I don't own any, but I don't think you will find anything bad about Axis...

I don't have any experience with them either or any aftermarket shock for that matter. But i'm in the market for new shocks....

One very important thing to consider when buying used shocks is........ Do they fit your weight, a-arm set-up and riding style. If they do and are reasonally priced then go for it. If not pass it up.

Personally i'd rather spend a few $$'s more up front to have the shocks set-up right in the beginning. JMO

Thanks cbw thats what I want, personal expierance! I have Works, Ohlins and Elkas but have never tried the axis'. I've been offered front and rear set up for me but I really like my Elkas. The Elkas are great but this is a good offer so I thought I would give them a shot. I just wanted some opinion.;)

I ran them for 1 season, only problem I had was 1 blown rear seal.

I have had nearly every shock this year. Works, Ohlins, PEP, Axis, & Elka. A few members on here have my shocks that I have gotten rid of. Chris for one.

I did like the Axis alot and they really do justice when you have all 3, but were a little stiff for my taste. But i will say that they were very well built. Like most people on here say it is more of a prefrence as to what the company offers that fits your needs. I wanted to get the what if's out of the way and that is why I have had so many this year and finally settled down with Elka's because what they had to offer fit what I wanted a little better than anyone else's shocks.

Why would the rear seal blow? How do you know if that happens, the shock doesn't work right and oil is leaking?

You will see oil on the shaft and it will be real springy feeling.
