OK i know this type of question has been asked countless times but I'm looking for just some basic stats not a full on comparison.

First off I ride on mostly on a hard pack soil. I'm looking for a tire with better performance and wear than the stock ohtsus. I was thinking about razrs but I don't know of anyone here that has ran them. Also in the Feb. dirtwheels ITP advertises holeshot MX's and claims that their "special rubber compound excels on hard surfaces..." If anyone has managed to get their hands on a set of these tell me how they are holding up as far as traction and wear. Thanks a lot, and sorry for the same boring question... We should try to get full statements of the tires that most people ask about and get Leo to put it in the best of forum...

the holeshots are much better than razrs on hard-pack. To run the MXs you wll have to get 18" in the rear and then your ground clearance will be next to nothing. I dont know how they will wear on the hard-pack.

Ok here's another question... what would be the best wearing tire for hard pack...but still gets decent traction all 'round?

I have holeshot MX's and they seem to wear pretty fast, but that's gonna happen since they are such a soft compound. They are pretty slick on hard surfaces, i think turf tamers are a better hard surface tire.

Also, you can groove turf tamers so that they really give good traction in soft stuff, muddy, hard packed, any terrain.

A lot of people i race with run holeshot MX front's, and grooved turf tammer rears.

i heard in the forums that GBC Shreaders last "3 times and long as holeshots". SOunds pretty good!

try smoking shredders on pavement and see if they still have perfect tread, then we'll see if they last 3 times longer.

Hole shots do wear pretty fast and I think that the turf tammers will be a much better hard pack tire.
