I can't believe this...

I am really bord with my 250ex and i just found a cheap 400ex 02' for 3,950 and my dad may not let me get it because he don't know if i can handle the power.My question is can i handle a 400?I am 14,125 pounds,5'4

probably because im the exact same as you except im 15, and i find that 300ex's are too underpowered for me (no flame intended)

Have him go with you to a dealer or somin and test ride one...show him that you can handle it. I think thats the best thing you could do. But dont show off...just show him that you can control the "power". :p

but ride one of your buddies 400's or somethin and show your dad you can control it, then wheelie into a mail box and yell ''oh sh*t, HOW THAT HAPPEN?!!'' then head to the dealer to pick her up;)

The guy i might buy it off of isn't a dealer he will let me test ride it but the hard part is getting my dad to take me there(it isn't that far away)This is to prove him that i'm not a baby and i can ride something bigger.Thanx

For an 02 thats pretty good..I see 02's gp for like 4200-4600 around here.

i got mine for 4 in 2002 when they came out. had a grafics kit gripper seat skids and tires. it was preowned but the guy baught it and brogt it back the next day. wasnt even broken in when i got it. it was soooo sweet.
