How do I get an avatar working?

:huh Call me dumb but I cant re-size a pic IF thats what i need to do, it says I can brouse and find my pic, and then it also says "Eneter URL here" what does this mean? I have a Picture downloaded in my "Pictures" folder and that is as far as Ive gotten i have no idea what any of this mean so could someone PLEASE help me? I can e-mail someone a pic and then you guys could log into my name if thas what it takes! Or ANYTHING! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!:(

right click on the pic, then go properties, then copy the addy and put it in your address bar, and voila, your pic:)

crazy400 I tried resizing them but it came out to where you couldnt even tell it was a quad. It looked like a streak of colors. If you still want it let me know......
