are u allowed to do airbox mods? If not try to take off as much extra weight on the quad as possible like skids, etc..

u didnt say what distance your running or what surface but for dirt go to a 14tooth front sprocket and put a k&n air filter with no lid. if its a short distance 200 or 300 ft the sprocket will help alot take off in 2nd gear.

well to let you know my name is Shaun too. lol

well this is how you beet everyone. take out your front shocks and put in 13 inch 3/4 inch square tube, you will have to use washers in the bottom. i took second at my drags by doing this. i started in second gear with it peged at the revlimator and drop the cluch and NEVER pull the frunt tires off the grounb. By the way i only lost to my cuz who did the samething but he has a 440ex. i beet kfx,z400, and other 400exs.

we are racing 300ft or 330ft it depends when we are racing on clay i won 3rd place i bear a 440, kfx 400, z400 and a yfz 450 but was beat by 2 other yfz 450's i had my front end strapped and my rear shock adjusted all the way down so the back of my wheeler was all the way up when we raced in the sand i was getting killed and i had paddle tires on but i think i might have not been getting enough traction because i didnt have enough force on my rearend but i need help on the sand my starts are great on clay in 330ft i was running 5.87 was my best and my worst was 6.29 but in sand is wherwe i need the help thanks

if u do any drag racing in mud or dirt get some pro wedge 2's, or some 4-snows, if your front end comes up then get a wheelie bar, they can save you some time, get it lowered, keep your body low, dump the clutch in 2nd with throttle pegged, power shift, start to slide to the back of your seat after your get going for more traction

If you have a stock pipe, you can gring down the welds on the header where it bolts to the head, then you can gut the silencer and rejet, you should pick up quite a bit of power.
