Aww too bad he wants a 2g. He could have my 91 gsx with about 400hp and be running 11's without worrying about crankwalk and the other 2g problems :D
If he changes his mind PM me, you won't go faster for $6900 (seriously, it will wipe it's *** with a $45,000 C5 vette)

why does he want a eclipse? all it is is a neon motor with milder cam and no i did not get that off of 2 fast 2 furious. My brother knows all kinds of crap about imports. If he wants a rice burner he should get a Prelude VTEC and put some skunk2 cams, skunk2 cams gears, DC header, DC catback system, get it port and polished, and a AEM cold air intake and he'll run about high 12's, low 13's with a little under 300 HP. ;)
P.S. this is what my brother has done to his carand he's so far put about 90,000 miles and that build drives back and forth from collage and not had a problem yet.

No it's not. The Eclipse GS and RS use the 420a which is the 130hp neon motor. The GSX and GST use the 4g63, which is one of the baddest 4 bangers around (up there with the SR20DET, it can handle over 450whp on stock internals, try that with a honda). With less than $1000 into the motor you can put a gsx into the 12's.
If you want to go the Hon-duh route your best bet is to get a light hatchback civic or CRX and put a B18 or JDM B16 in it (or a H series motor if you like). They are still fwd though. There is a turbo'ed vtec B18 hatch at the track here and he can't get out of the mid 12's (with well over 400hp) because he can't hook up, even with big slicks on the front.

thats cool man im not a ricer nut anyways. im seen my bro drag, on his good days high 12s on so so days low 13s. he even lets me drive ever now and once i ran 13.268. yes it's a manuel. but the thing i hate the most is that dang front end pull (where the front end pulls to the ditch). Really the only ricers i rescept is supras and rx7s. mainly because there RWD.

mines not the AWD, AWS, 300hp, twin turbo im sorry to say (just the FWD, 220hp, N/A)- but its still a nice car.

The 3000gt VR4's (awd ones) are pretty cool but they are heaaaavy, like 3800lbs.
