Ok first of are triple rate sprined pepe rebuilt ohlins shocks good for xc?

they are valved for a 175lb rider on +2 +3 a arms for a 250r would those be about right for a 160lbs rider on stock 400 a arms?

thanks.

i believe they will be to stiff for what you're planning on doing, but if you're getting a good deal on them buy them, try em out, and send them out to the quadshop or other company who can rebuild them correctly for ya

this is not totally acurate but like a 175lb rider on +3s is like a 230+lb rider on stock arms,

actually you are correct on that, the shocks that i have were setup for a +2 250r and i've got +2 on my 400ex and they might be a little bit on the soft side even tho i weigh less than what they are setup for

do the shocks have any type of adjustment? (compression etc.) if so just that could make up for the difference in weights
