go get you a z/kfx or raptor. i guess if you really wanted a big one then you could get a raptor or kfx700.

dont buy one of those pieces of junk, they may be fast but where does it get you if your welding the frame more than riding it... the raptor...well i think thats just a pos ....i dunno i have nothing against the other brands it just seems like the problems they have with them are more serious and more often than i do with my ex:ermm:

If I were you, I would wait out for a few more months. See if Honda actually gets a new quad out at the dealer show and if not wait a little while for some of the minor bugs are fixed on the yfzs and get one of them. The stock a-arms appear to be a little weak for hard riding, but a set of arms is going to be less expensive than buying another quad and having to mod it to compete at the same level.

Maybe that'll give ya another option to consider.

Good luck with your decision dude. :D

yeah if you don't wait a ds650 would be pretty sweet.

id rather build a crf, by the time u put shocks, pipe, axle, nerfs, a arms , tires and a kill switch on it you could of built a crf..

some people don't want to go to all that trouble for a bike. i think it would be cool to build a crf, but that is alot of work, unless you had someone else do it.

its easy anyone serious about riding or racing mx should be able to tear a quad down and put it back together

i haven't seen one in person but they look pretty bad. especially the red and white one.

I have the red and white one:devil:  anyways i have had no problems with mine at all. this thing jumps like a dream over my 300ex. the power rips. it is geared to high for woods and tight track areas. where my friend goes into our back woods jump track thing he catches me in this tight berm because i have to take it in first and he comes side by side but then i just get on the gas and im out in front. for just breaking it in i can't believe the power. he hammered it trying to get me at somepoints but i took between 1/2 to 3/4 and it just roars with power.

IMO get the yfz

if i was to get the yfz id wait another year to see if they fix the problems but ive got the money now and im not the patient type...how is the predator, is it fast? i hear its frontend heavy...

07-27-2003, 03:40 AM
the predator & ds650 are both good bikes...ill prob. be geting a kfx700 this christmas. they are a really good bike...have U ever driven one? please dont get the raptor, they are a real pos

please dont get a kfx700 there shaft drive and automatic

07-27-2003, 04:21 AM
the auto is tight...obviously you have never driven one or else you'd love the automatic. the shaft drive could be a problem but I dont know one person that has complained about the automatic after driving one.

Don't get a Raptor. They are not all that anymore in comparison with new bikes. If you were smart you would really wait another month and see what Honda has. If you run out and buy a new bike now and Honda releases something one month later that kills it in handling and power, wouldn't you be mad then? Seriously wait. There is no reason not to. If I was getting a new bike though, go with the YFZ hands down.
