Yep, my group will be there Labor Day weekend. Where are you staying at? We stay at Val-Du Lakes, just a big party. I'm going next weekend the 8th thru 10th. I'll have my all black Expedition with 33's on it, and not sure on what quads we'll be bringing.

Only 5 more days till Silver Lake! I can't freakin wait.

We are staying at Silver City II.

80% of the quads we are taking up are on fresh rebuilds, and we have a piped Z400 with 30 HP shots of Nitrous.

If you go up there, I'll have one of the fastest.. (maybe the fastest) 400exs at the dragstrip... I dont have headlights either. And the Z400 has a big blue bottle lodge in his front bumper.:blah:

Anyone else gonna make it up there?

We'll be staying at Silver City too. We're going to be in the outback I think they call it (rustic). We'll be in the Black Expy and our Banshee is white and blue no graphics and my R is black w/o graphics and a rebel seat cover. We'll be there Friday night around 7 or 8.

Looks like we gonna be rolling up at the same time.

I thought we was in the OUtBack, and we may be... but from talking to other peeps lastnight they seemed to think we had sites.. but didn't know for certain.

How old are the peeps in your group? Our group is like 25-30 yr olds.

Im new to this forum.

I will be up there on sat. I will be riding my Z, znd my buddy has a red/black 400ex with a fmf pipe, cam, andK&N.

How often does everyone go, Im usually p there 1 or 2 times a month.

Make sure to get your vouchers friday.
If you didnt know the dune rerady vouchers are given out starting at noon friday. The parking lot vouchers are given out at 9:00 pm the night before you need them. For the parking lot vouchers it is not a bad idea to get in lineup to 1 hour early.

Hope to see you up there. I spend a lot of time at the drags.

I ussually go straight to the voucher center when I roll up on friday ..even if its 3am.

Vouchers are only done from May to August. April and September are "voucher free". Vouchers are not confusing once you get an idea of how it works.

Why can't I ever get pics to post??

Yeah, they're not confusing I just hate waiting in line in the middle of riding to get one. We'll be there around 7 - 7:30ish tonight. I finally got my R fixed, I spun the countershaft sprocket on the shaft. I welded the S.O.B. to get by the rest of the good riding season.

All I know about vouchers is everytime i freakin go the system is changed!! lol, but I like this system.

Hey BSF I took the 400 for a spin lastnight right before I was gonna load it up. And to make a long story short the axle carrier bearings where bad, very bad.. so im running around close to midnight lastnight removing these darn things. I got em out and still gotta install them today.. all for the love of riding.:macho

See ya up there man.

did all of you go?

I was there from 8:30am till about 6:00 pm on sat.

I raced a couple of fast 400ex-440ex quads, did not know if it was anyone from this forum.

Also raced a z440 and was side by side with him. I told him I only had a pipe and air filter and he seemed mad. That or he did not believe me and thought I was an *****. Either way he waisted a lot of money by sending his motor to thumper racing in texas.

Had a great time, wanted to know how everyone else did.

Yup I was up there. I saw BsF150 truck a few times on Sat. but that was about it.

I had an awesome time, tons of nice quads, trucks and chics.

Lots of nice jumps there too. Maybe to many nice jumps , cause on Sat. I cracked my swingarm.:grr:

Yeah, I didn't spend to much time in the truck. My sister and buddies were in it with my fiancee most of the time. My fiance was riding the Banshee and the damn thing seized up on her. Duneland didn't have Amsoil premix and so I changed it to Golden Spectro. The coolant system stopped thou and burned up the left cylinder, the plug porcelen was broke in half(ouch). Told her she should've got a Honda. The R blew the water pump seal, had to buy a complete gasket kit so I could ride. It was worth it, how about those bikes jumping the truck over towards the beach?

Spark arresters are required to get in the dunes, they check you every time you enter the dunes.

Sound checks are random, they usually let people in if they are under 100db. They told me they allow 98cb, but a friend of mine read 100db and got in.

Nakomis, Was that Z400 with the nos orange? If it was, I wish I would have known it was you and your guys, I would have stopped and said hi. This is even more of a reason to come up with EXriders flags. I'm hoping to get up there one more time next month, either the 1st or 3rd weekend. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid79/paea30516b9a49059634095e61e7a7412/fb0dae38.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid79/p01a7d79d3c5c477e4ba5d6753a246e04/fb0dae36.jpg

Me and some other guys from WV are wanting to try some dune riding, best I can tell, Silver Lake is probably the closest to us. Is it worth the 6+ hour drive, and if so, where can I get directions/accomodations?

You'll have a lot of room to play in right now, its getting kinda cold up there. Plus, and maybe some of the guys that go up there more than I do can verify this, a lot of the town has "shut down" for the season.
