Its too short!

Hey guys i recently purchased a 350x airboot for my 400ex carb on my 300ex. Well i got it too fit the 400ex carb and now the damn thing is like 1/2 inch too short. ANy ideas at all? :C

Unbolt it to the frame, and make either new tabs and weld them on, or find a new way to attach it, like hose clamps..
