I was just looking at muffs southwick pictures and I noticed he has a pic of his bike after the race. Man I remember my first MX race on my quad. What a beating the ole honda took, really makes u think how bulletproof some of these bikes really are.

the 400 is one of the toguhest best reliable bike out there but it still ahs its weak parts. but bars are always goign to bend, there a weak pijtn designed to do tht so you dont been a frame or stem, same with bumpers and grab-bars.

a properly maintaned quad should last much longer than one that's rode hard and put up till the next ride. I"ve abused my 400 and it's still holdin up pretty good...

Rico said it, alot of stuff you cant control, but i know i broke my subframe because a bolt came out and let it twist. Now if i would have caught that sooner i could have preveneted it, but its funny how much stuff you can screw up racing mx...definatly not bulletproof

Wait till ya get my age and you'll quit worrying about the quad and worry more about your body.... I rode saturday and i'm very sore still...:(

I rode for 4 days in the mountains of WV and never got sore...3 hours at the MX track and i feel like i'm 80 years old...

MX racing looks easy, looks like it wouldnt be hard. Well after you try it you know it is.(hard).I know im young but if i ride a few times a week and race every weekend im just a tad sore nothin to complain about. Ive also found that riding as hard as you can at home for 15 minutes is still alot easier than racing 15 minutes..guess i try harder in the race or something. Whens the last race at blackrock Rico? Maybe if i have my yfz put together by then i finnally be able to race down there.

all bars will bend at some point....but the tag fat bars and lonestar steering stem combo seem really tough, one rollover with nothin gone wrong
