Valves....did i screw my motor up?

hey

ok so i was trying to adjust my valves (never done it before) so i rotated the crankshaft clockwise just a little bit....well i see now that it says NEVER turn the crankshaft counter clockwise....well what i'm tryint to get to is my motor chucked up now?

i don't know much about this stuff so any imput would help....

i doubt ya hurt anything. set the valve lash and fire it up:macho

im sure mine went the wrong way the first time i did it and its still in one piece.

your not supposed to turn it one way or the other, dont remember. but the reason is because of the decompression assembly. if you ever take your cam out and play with the valve, it only turns one way. not sure what it does inside if you turn it backwards, but it really cant be much... no worries..

It will be fine, I had to turn my the other way, because I was too lazy to turn it all the way back around. It runs fine.
