I have a question. Have you guys seen the new E-85 gas they came out with. Its 85% ethonal. Dont you have to convert your vehical to use it? Is it safe to used it in my quad?

DO NOT use it in your quad. It is only for use in FFVs (flexible fuel vehicles) that are equipped with special fuel system components. It will detonate, overheat, melt pistons, and all sorts of good stuff like that if you run it in your quad. :) Good question though.

ethanol is probably a better fuel than gasoline. however you can NOT use it in your quad because it requires special oil, stainless steel and teflon coated fuel lines, stainless exhaust, special piston rings, non corrosive fuel delivery system and etc.

Ethanol works great when the vehicle is designed for it. There are only about 2.5 million ethanol vehicles in use worldwide. Many of the manufacturers have produced a lot of FFVs that run on either gas or E85 but the E85 is not being used because it is not available in many areas. Ethanol is made from corn or sugar cane by the way.
