I am thinking of switching from 20" rear tires and a 15 tooth front sprocket to 22" rear tires with a 14 tooth front sprocket.
Do you think there will be any loss of acceleration with the set-up I have listed in my signature.
Im not too concerned with my top speed, but with all the rocks around here I think I need a little more ground clearance.
Thanks

yeah i think it would be really close but not exactly the same. but if you are looking at it from the stand point of ground clearance then that is probably the best thing you can do.

I recently switched to 23/22's and in addition went up one tooth on the rear. The gearing is now 14/39. The increase in ground clearance is great. Never would have thought I would appreciate it as much. Top speed...well iduuno. maybe a little, but it is definitely higher than a staight 14/38 with the 20's and good power too..
