To all the riders that were denied the opportunity to race on March 2nd, when we had 12"+ of snow in the woods, come on out Sunday August 17th for the second of three sanctioned Hare Scramble races hosted by Rausch Creek MX & ATV Park.

Registration opens at 7:30am in the lower parking lot. The first race of the day will be the youth race at 9:30am.

Overall Winners of each race will recieve a free one-year membership to Rausch Creek MX & ATV Park.

As always, the park remains open to the public, and your race entry allows you to ride the entire park.

I raced the last D6 Hscramble there, a few weeks after the GNCC at Rausch. Its a different location than the GNCC and what a track!!!!! Its tight, hilly and technical for a while then opens up to fast roads. Constant terrain change, probably the most fun i've had racing this year, beside the GNCC at Rausch. There are a few rocky parts, but there are plenty of fast smooth sections to. Some of the hills in the woods were quite a challenge for some riders. Great 2-3 line race track all the way around.

Come on out and check this place out!!!!!!!!!!!
D6 points
$in the A classes

D6/ GNCC racers, Chris Borich, Matt Smiley, Mike Krachun,Tyson Thomas,Rob Hertz, Todd Rothermel, Tom Hertz.

i hope to make it. i raced the last harescramble. man what a track. my favorite D6 track so far. this is not a panzi track. its got everything j said. it goes from wide open to idle and from steep downhills to water holes. or maybe that was just last race because of the rain(how about that water j?) everyone who is a usal at D6 races should check it out we had low numbers last time. there was 2 riders in my class.

how tough is the 2 stroke b class?? i hear d6 has lots of sand baggers in that class. im not gonna even bother racing if there is no way i can do decent. after all it is my first race, and i want it to be fun, not get smoked right at the line.

i mean no offense, i have heard that there are some really really fast *** people in that class, that should be in 2 stroke "A", but dont move up cuz they dont want to lose.

its not that i am out to win everything, hell, you are right, im lucky to finish my first one. but i aint gonna bother to try if i am racing pro caliber people that wont go up in classes.

like pappy said dont underestimate the B class. D6 does have some of the fastest woods racers in the country and the next generation of them may currently be racing our hare scrambles.

sandbaggers?????? in order to be a sandbagger u have to bewhoopin ***!!!! no one is doing any arse whoopin in that class yet, Gogno and Thompson are battling every race for points. If u can run with the A guys and yer still runnin B then your a sandbagger, but neither one of those guys would last a race in A. not yey anyway, there both improving every race. I got moved out of B my first year, i nearly doubled the points requirement in one season. won the championship and moved up. Now i can't hang with the A guys for the whole race but i still have fun gettin spanked every race.

250R pilot get out there and try it, stop making excuses!!!! it'll be the most pain... i mean FUN that you'll ever have!!!! And if u need a ride let me know, i work right around the corner from u!!!!!

Hey 250rpilot,

I'm going to give you some advice. My husband, who is currently a PRO Production GNCC racer (his highlight was GNCC #4 before his "3-year retirement"), has lived by this his entire racing career & it got him to be one of the fastest XC racers in the GNCC series......

"If you want to be a fast rider, you have to race with faster guys"

How are you going to learn to go fast if you're not riding with someone who is faster than you who you can learn from?

Good luck, I think you should come out & give it a try.

Well it was a nice day out there today and man was it muddy in some sections. There was also a little water hole that was tricky to navigate I am sure everyone who raced the course know this water hole. Borich won A with Rick Cecco in 2nd. Traci took the B win. I think Rick said she did this with a flat. I personally finished 5th out of 11. I know not that great, but when you get older and out of shape it gets hard. Even harder when you rear end someone and have to push your quad up a hill.

I hope everyone else had a good time. EX Kid there was only one person in your class. JL were you there I didn't see you?

i was pretty bent about not going. i dont think it counted for points even tho there site said it did so that calmed me down alittle. did you race the 4C ron? not many people race there because they dont wanna tear up there bike for nothing. its a pretty rough track.

It wasn't a point's race for the pa series, but it is for the district 6 stuff. I ran 4 stroke C yesterday. If you ever need it let me know a head of time maybe I can hook you up with a ride.
