Im nervous ... I just sent an online application for a job at my local honda dealership: Freehold Honda..I hope they hire me. I am turning 14 on Aug.2 and this will be my first job.I told them that I can sweep/mop floors, wash windows and assist customers. I hope i get this job..i might even get employee discounts :devil:

at a boy.. getting a job while youre young.. but i bet at a dealership you have to be 16 to work because of labor laws and stuff. but i bet old mickey d's is hirin.!:o

Good initiative, but you're too young. You can't work anywhere until you are 14, and all the dealers around here said you have to be 16 when I asked if they were hiring.. :ermm:

i will tell you what, dont count on getting that job
they would moore likely need some one that is of age to work, and also did they have a help wanted sign out?
and you deffinitly wont be helping the customers. have you ever even held any real jobs before? do you have any references that were good enough to be put on the application? family does not count.
and buy the way, why do you want to start working now, sure money is nice to have, but once you start making some, you will run in to problems, enjoy your childhood while you still can.

oh i need a job so i can buy me a quad...my life is boring...all i do is sit at this computer all day so i figure i can do something and get money instead of doing nothing and getting nothing...

u never know, they could hire him. if your just washing windows and sweeping and basically janitorial stuff, yeah, he could possibly get the job. cuz i know some of my friends got jobs at places when they were like 14, 15, at places doin janitorial crap

you can get a job when youre 14 its just you cant be there earlier than 6 or later than 7.. and there are certain things you cant do, like working or probably going into the shop...

around here you only have to be 14 to work.... they say you cant work past like 8:00 on school nights but no one really follows that law......

at a dealer by me they have a few 14 yr. olds working... mostly cleaning up and putting 4 wheelers and dirt bikes or whatever together

I got a construction job for the summer, under the table, and i sell diablo 2 items over ebay:) so i make a penny or 2, but still not enough to buy a quad, waiting for parents to do that

At the Yamaha dealer near me they have a girl working behind the parts counter that is I swear no older than 12. I think she is the daughter of one of the other parts guys.

they told me to get my working papers then come in for an interview on my birthday...i hope i get hired. :) ...they sponsor a team of local riders 2 so if i ever get a quad and race then they could sponsor me...oh and what exactly does a sponsor do :confused:
