Had trouble a few weeks ago on the starting line. Quad wouldn't start, had to push start it. Fuse was good, battery ground wire good. When I was done, I wash it & it started. Happened again a few times while riding. Cleaned the starter switch assembly and it started fine at the next race. When I was done it wouldn't start. Ran cables from the battery directly to the starter and it turned over, even with the key off and the switch off. Where do I go from here?:confused; Anyone had this problem?

sounds like you are saying that when you hit the starter button, nothing happens...it doesnt even try to crank? I'd start by checking ALL of your electrical connections. I had this problem before...randomly would not start...no crank. I found my postive battery wire was very loose on the battery. Cleaned all the connections up and tightened them down...havent had a problem since.

it could also be the starter switch itself. if water ..mud and grit get in there it will break the connection and act like a dead battery:scary:

If it is cranking and not starting it could be as easy as a flow (gas/air) or weak battery?

I would check all the connections like previously suggested first :D
Good luck!

go over every connection possiable, inside the start button, charge the battery, and clean every connection with electrical wire cleaner, u can pick it up at any local car store, and if that dont work, look for any burnt or cut wires, and wrap them up with electrical tape or get a new wire
