i have a 1995 Honda 300ex, after re-ringing, and a valve job, how do u set it back to Top Dead Center to get the marks lined up????

okay first look on the left side of the motor(shifter side) and you will see to plugs with either screwdriver slots or allen wrench slots. then you need a flash lite and a 17mm. socket and ratchet. you put the 17mm. socket on the bolt in the bigger hole. that bolt is holding your crank on. you then turn the socket(to the left) and use the flash lite to see inside the little hole. if you notice on the bottom right side of the threads for the little hole there is a line where threads are missing. that is a timming line. then as you spin the socket SLOWLY!! look on the crank as it turns you will see a line with a "F" on it. line the "F" up with the line in the threads and that should be T.D.C. (Top Dead Center). you can check this by sticking a small screwdriver in the spark plug hole. macking sure the pison is all the way at the top. then time your cam up, and adjust your valves and your done.

aight thanx man, but to time ur cam also, is that that thing that sticks out on the right side of the motor. (back brak side) Is that how u do the cam timing?

right past the F mark is the T mark "top dead center"
