well ya catch my drift, i thought that the cr250 motor and the 250r motor are very similar, but i thouogh that a cr has around 50hp and a 250r has 30?

New 250's have around 45-46, and 15 ears ago the CR's were puhing the mid to low 30's, as was the R. I think the R was slightly detuned though and probably put around 30 or so.

Its restored. Since when have you ever heard of any stock quad coming with stickers on the tires?

If we are all talking about the same R, it wasnt restored. It hadnt been started since 1989. And i guess the tires had stickers on them back then.:huh

Wow..thats kinda funny. There is a whole thread about it on here....lots of people who know alot more about R's than you guys can tell its been restored. (Seat edges are rounded, wrong shifter color, etc.)

that is the purpose of my last post .i am not going to argue about a quad that dosent even belong to either one of use with him or you.i dont care if he noticed more than me or not.the point is he didnt have to make a smart comment and neither did you.lets all just forget about it.sorry for posting anything in this thread.

According to Honda an 87 makes 37HP @ 7500 at the crank. It is probably about 28-30 at the wheel. An 87 Cr250 made 49hp @ 8000rpm and a 2003 makes 58hp@8500rpm at the crank. A stock banshee on GT Thunders dyno made 36.5HP in 6500-7000rpm range at the wheels.
