im not sure for the yzf, but i heard that a crf quad will pump around 38 to 40 hp at the wheels. My sources may be wrong though

i heard they took out 6 horse when they detuned the yfz....they honda willl prolly be about the same

yamaha released there bike too soon to change it in time for ama...ama just changed it to a 450cc limit....honda will have an advantage with that...who else hopes they will have a 450 motor with 50 horse thats good for a quad?

I would assume the YFZ is about 47bHP, so that should translate into just over 40HP at the wheels.

A CRF conversion should put closer to 43HP down, since the motor is not detuned.

go to the gt thunder website. They have posted dyno runs with both stock and slight mods. With the new exhaust, airbox lid removed, rejetted & timing changed it was at 49hp with a very nice looking power curve I must admit.
