i got a pretty good deal on a stock bore 11:1 compression wiseco piston

anyway, what gaskets do i need? i remember something about wiseco's compression ratio not being as advertised with stock gaskets. im not going to deck my cylinder. i did a search and came up with 9 pages, so i was hoping someone would give some advise. im thinking just to stay with stock gaskets and if its a hair low on compression it will be ok.

i'd use oem gaskets. with the wiseco 11:1, you will be better than stock but it will not be "11:1"...

ive just got a couple worries, maybe really ignorant ones

1- piston + valves=bam - there looks to bee a pretty good dome on this thing

2-spent the time and money for 11:1 and i only get 10:1

i have found some info, but they're talking ross

what i am going to do is measure every thing that i can, deck height, dome hight, pin height

and here is the greatest info thread ever

im going to sit down and read for a while and maybe answer my own question

You WILL get 11:1 (or pretty damn close) with the stock bore Wiseco. The compression issue only pertains to the 440 piston because it is a flat top, when it should be domed. Use stock 400ex gaskets (I recommend OEM for the steel head gasket). Drop a cam in it while you have it apart, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't.
