Another honda rumor to add to the list

I was at the local dealer this afternoon checking out the YFZ450 which is a sweet looking bike. When I asked about the big world wide honda rumors I was told Honda will annouce in september and they(the dealer) said he was pretty confident it was a big bore sportbike.
Said he wasn't 100% sure but talk is that it's a 500cc engine. He also thought it was a four stroke.
So, here's more fuel for the fire. With all the crap out there, who knows what to beleive.

In the last Dirt Wheels I can't remember if it's in the letters or pictures but there is a guy who writes asking about the new Honda and DW tells him it's a CRF based 450 go check it out.

In Dirtwheels they seemed really impressed with it. The people who have rode it here dont seem too overly happy with it, but then again I havent been around for more than an hour in the past month or so...

i just heard from some high people today that honda baught 4 aluminum frames from it hin legers, then they went back 2 weeks later and baught the pattent for the aluminum frames. this may seem like an bad peice of info, but its because i can't remember if it was lonestar of legers. believe me thoguh.

my thoughts, 2 quads, CRF450F and XR650R. CRF will have 8 valves, fuel injection, and an oval piston, manuals, no reverse, aluminum frames, FAST, reliable as always from Honda, look wicked.

mine said september but he said it would be the crf engine. who knows and who cares as long as honda comes out with somethin new.

well not that it really matters but i caught my eye while i was reading the over the bars section about this guys crf450 quad... at the end dw goes on to say...."Will the new production Honda CRF450's look like Gordon's(the guys that made his own 450)machine? We shall see." well they love to drop these little hints here and there *******s lol i guess we shall see though......

Unless by sport bike he means sport quad.. I have always heard sportbikes refer to street bikes like CBRs and GSXRs..

Yep, and utilitybikes are Goldwings and RoadKings...........lol

all i can say is dirtwheels is "usually" right when they drop hints like that. Remember the drawings of the predator and the z. And i think i recall a few hints about a yamaha quad. lets hope they got their $hit right this time too.

I hope this is the year because next spring/summer I'm buying a new quad. Hopefully Honda will give us something new and inovative with high performance or a hell of a lot of performance. If not I'll be 35 years old by then and can't wait for ever for big red so if not I guess I'll have to be YZF-ing it.

Sorry I was talking about pg.24 in the new DW there is a guy asking when Honda is coming out w/ a new quad and DW says that it is going to be CRF450 based.:)

OMG i just got off the phone with a honda rep!! their changing there lineup and gettin rid of that POS 400ex, to a newly improved 400ex with new stickers.. then there gonna slap and limited edition tag on it so it can compete with the LE raptors and banshee's this year. maybe it will even be all black to!! wow that thing is gonna be fast............ sad :rolleyes:
