I'd love to get a YZ125. I've seen quite a few out at Pism and they rip. How tall do you have to be to ride a 125 anyway?

Well, ricky carmicheal is like 5'5" and he rides a 250 no problem. If your a mini.......you could always shave teh seat foam.

The reason i didnt put the Cr, is this is a majority honda site, so i figure they would all vote for the cr, and not anything else.

The yz is by far the better bike. It has everything motor suspension and handling. The KTM is the fastest but the suspension sucks unless you get it reworked.

i think the yz's are pretty powerful, but i have also heard good things about the KTM's....i had a 13 year old yz125, and i had to spend about as much as i paid for it(about $1000) just to get it to run.........so i mean i also hear(and from experience) yz's are alotta work to keep running.....and the cr's are kinda low on the power scale....i would go and test ride 'em, and see what you like.....and what you can find a good deal on.....

RM. The motor on the new ones is amazing. The forks on the 03 are the same as the CR250 - top of the line Twin Chamber Showas. The handling on them is a little weird, they react really fast and are unstable at speeds, but still a great bike. Reliability is a concern though.

I've said it a million times. The KTM SX 125 suspension is not that bad. I rode my friends and it felt just fine. He actually likes it more than his Pro Action suspension on his CR 125. Also, another friend of mine races a SX 125 and a SX 450F, and he says the 125 suspension is good but the 450 is terrible.

Any of the bikes are reliable as long as you take care of them. (RedRebel... I know I've told you all of this, I'm telling everyone else). The CR isn't low on power... it's actually just 1 HP under the KTM and the KTM has the highest HP of all the 125's (not including the YZ 250F which has the most in the 125 class). The problem w/ the CR is that it has a peaked out power curve which means a really short powerband. It's hard to keep it in the right RPM range and is just hard to ride as fast because of that.
