Custom Axis shocks?

I found a used pair of axis shocks that were off a z400, they are 16" eye to eye (like a 400ex & 250r shock) & the guy believes that they will fit on a 400ex & 250r... does anybody know this for sure?

sounds like he got shocks off a R or 400ex . im pretty sure the z400 use a touch longer shock then the honda

if they are off a Z they won't fit on the EX without some hammering. Z's an ex's use almost the same shock but the Z's top mount is thicker so it doesn't fit into the slot on the EX. also the leverage ratios are different. i put my works shocks on my friends Z and they were extrememly soft! so Z shocks would be really stiff on the EX.
