I just wrote this question to erric gorr, if anyone here can't give you an answer, this guy knows just about everything about bikes and quads. :ermm:

If no luck with that, look for an old 350x motor. (which I know are kind of hard to come by anymore:ermm: )

If you don't find out from him, you could try writing to rick sieman, he's on mx-offroad.com's don't ask.

I think the 500 motor is taller then a 350x motor, so to make it fit, you'd have to cut off the bottom frame rails (and maybe lengthen the cradle, get new square tubing ,and relocate them down further. Since 300's have square tubing, it would be much easier to fabricate then a round tubed frame. If you do this you should reinforce your frame anyways. Because I can almost garuantee you it's gonna develope stress cracks once you get some hard use out of it. Ever since my bro upgraded his 250r with a big bore cylinder it always developes cracks after a hard ride, so then me have to weld it up, and repaint it. I guess that's why I also kinda hate frames constructed of square tubing.

Good luck to ya, sorry I couldn't help:ermm:

Ok i measured it real quick it is about 19" tall but when i get home from work i will take it out of the frame and take a more acurate measurement but its about 19"I will fit in a 400 frame ;) if i could get the swing arm pivot bolt out of my quad that might be in there :o Ill also get a pic later
